Terms of Service

These terms apply to all tutoring sessions delivered by Acumen HSC (“Acumen”, “we”, “us”). By booking a session or submitting an enquiry, you agree to the following.

1. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a session at no charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time.

If you provide less than 24 hours' notice, or do not attend without notice (no-show), the full session fee is payable. We may waive this at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.

2. Fees and Inclusions

Small-group tutoring runs over a 10-class term, 2 hours a week with a maximum of 6 students.

Rates for small-group and private one-to-one tutoring are quoted on enquiry and confirmed in writing before the first lesson.

Inclusions are as described in our pricing section and confirmed at enrolment.

3. Payment

Invoices are issued within one week of the end of each month and are payable within 21 days.

A $15 handling fee applies to an invoice paid after 21 days.

Payment is accepted by card only.

4. Fee Changes

We may vary our fees or pricing structure by giving at least four weeks' written notice before the change takes effect.

5. Communications

By enquiring or booking, you agree to receive invoices, service updates and relevant educational content from us.

You may opt out of marketing at any time by calling 0470 665 141.

6. Intellectual Property

Any materials, notes, or resources provided by Acumen HSC are for your personal educational use only. They may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed without our written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

Acumen HSC provides tutoring support and cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes. To the extent permitted by Australian law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the sessions in question.

8. Acumen +

Acumen + bought on its own starts with 3 days free, once per person.

Your card is charged $99 when the free days end, and each year after that until you cancel. Cancel during the free days and nothing is charged.

A $1 hold checks your card when you join and is released straight away.

You can cancel at any time from Settings, or by emailing admin@acumenhsc.com.au. Your access runs to the end of the year already paid for.

Access is for one student and may not be shared.
